It all begins by practicing Mindful Consumption - think before you buy. I ask myself "Do I really need another ... (fill in the blank)?"

Here's another suggestion to REDUCE your consumption - shop less, buy less, simplify your life. (This will also save you money.)

One more suggestion for REDUCING - when given a choice between two similar products, choose the product with the least packaging. Often times, choosing less packaging will also save you money. For example, buying one large bag of chips versus 12 individual packs. The large bag will usually be less expensive by weight and can easily be divided into REUSABLE individual containers.
